We start jig fishing for giant Walleye in the Columbia River from early February through the end of March. Several fish in the 15 lbs - 16 lbs range are caught annually. The average size Walleye this time of year is about 9 1/2 lbs.
This is a trophy fishery!!! Not very many fish are caught, but they are huge. We also have trips for Sturgeon, Catfish and Salmon. The Salmon fishing is primarily done from the majestic Cascade Lake of Draino (off the Columbia River) or in the Wind River.
