December News
The last couple weeks of November duck hunting was good. We had a little warming trend with high winds that blew the same quackers back at us. It made our job a little easier for a few days. the first couple weeks of December has been back to a lot of all day hunts, trying to get the job done.

We had more all day hunts in the month of November then we had all last year. I think that had a lot to do with us being slammed with hunters and the fact that we just haven't held the pure numbers of ducks like we have over the last 4-5 years. Icouldn't be more proud of the job my guides have done in such a difficult year. Goose shooting remains phenomenal. We have properties that have just been fantastic. These properties have carried us so far. Some of our better properties year in and year out have been a real dog this year.

I am very fortunate that I have so many different options on a daily basis. In general, I hear this has been a poor year for geese. In talking with the general public and listening to other outfitters and their customers, there are alot of folks singing the blues. Remember kids free week between Christmas and New Years. We also still have good January dates left, don't be disappointed, book your trip now.Oct-Nov News

October/November News
Sorry about not updating you guys quicker. We have been slammed since opening day and it hasn't let up. We averaged over 6.5 ducks and 5.5 geese per man hunting days in October. Not as strong of numbers as last year, but very respectable. November duck hunting has been very difficult.

We have had lots of all day hunts, more than we had all last year already. We finally saw our first batch of Northerns around the 15th of November. We have been pounding on these local ducks for over a month, and they are highly agitated. To average over 5 ducks a gun for the first 3 weeks of November with not a whole bunch of ducks around has been a nice surprise. Goose shooting remains strong, over 3.0 geese per man. Some days quick and painless, other days having to work into the afternoon to get everybody taken care of. We still have openings in December - January, but the schedule is really tightening up.

Remember our Rory Farrell Memorial week where kids hunt for free between Christmas and New Years in honor of one of our own.

Bring the kids over, bang a few birds, and enjoy the Lodge & lots of sunshine.Chef Amadeus doesn't disappoint...Our new Chef spoiled our clients with his new exciting menu. All of our guests just raved about the food that he prepared at the Lodge. There was nothing but compliments about the entire staff and the Royal treatment they received during their stay.
